Injectable Fillers in New Hampshire

Many middle aged women find themselves in an "in between" place in terms of their anti-aging options. Their skin may be losing elasticity and showing the early signs of aging, but they are still years away from considering plastic surgery. If you find yourself wanting to look younger and more refreshed, but surgery is not an option for you, injectable tissue fillers may be an excellent option.

Injectable fillers are a safe and effective means of creating a younger appearance during those years when your skin begins to lose firmness and develop fine lines. These increasingly popular products can diminish wrinkles or augment lips by restoring the volume that has been lost with age.

Your Dermal Filler Options

For women who want to "plump up" wrinkles, enhance their lips, or fill in areas of the face that have lost volume, all without cosmetic surgery, New Hampshire plastic surgeon Dr. Jerome Sepic offers several safe and effective options, all of which require no allergy testing and little to no down time. All of the fillers Dr. Sepic uses are non-animal derived, and offer both immediate and long-lasting results, with minimal risk of side effects. A typical dermal filler treatment is performed in our office and most patients are able to return to work and normal activities immediately.

JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel

JUVÉDERM Injectable Gel is a popular dermal filler produced by the makers of BOTOX® Cosmetic. This product is composed of a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. JUVÉDERM is a smooth consistency gel which adds volume and hydration to folds or wrinkles in the skin, particularly "smile lines" around the nose and mouth. In addition to wrinkle treatment, JUVÉDERM may be used to augment thin lips or lips that have lost volume with age. Results from JUVÉDERM last approximately 6 - 9 months.

Restylane®

This filler is commonly used for lip augmentation and for the treatment of wrinkles or scars. Restylane is made of non-animal-based hyaluronic acid, which is biocompatible and biodegradable, meaning that it is safe for the body, and it will be harmlessly absorbed by the body over time. Results from Restylane typically last 6 months or more, with best results achieved through regularly scheduled treatments.

Radiesse®

Radiesse is a unique dermal filler, which offers not only immediate results, but results that continue to develop over time. Radiesse is composed of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a gel carrier. Over time the filler is broken down by the body in two phases, first the gel carrier and then the microspheres. During this process, collagen fibers grow around the microspheres, creating a network which is expected to provide a long-lasting effect. Although the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down, the remaining new collagen provides lasting volume. Since Radiesse stimulates new collagen growth, results may last up to a year or more.
